This weekend in Somerset feels wonderfully full of cider barns, open gardens, live music, good food and all the lovely little local oddities that make this part of the world what it is.

Friday evening, head to for cider, live music and food under the orchard sky. Or if you fancy a proper pub evening, you couldn’t go far wrong with The Lord Nelson in Norton sub Hamdon , live music, brilliant locals and a very decent selection of beers.

Saturday is one of those days where there’s almost too much happening to fit in properly. .farm near Langport have their gardens open this weekend, while over at the legendary Cider Bus Saturdays are back, complete with circus skills in the orchard. Then later on, in Huish Episcopi have reggae, dubstep, cider, beer, Taste of Punjab and fish and chips

Sunday brings Basement Tacos to Eli’s too, alongside Grizzly and the Grasshoppers playing roots and blues from 2–6pm.

And if you fancy stretching things into Monday, is always worth a wander. The kids will love the Jungle Book themed walk and it’s a very good way to walk off a Somerset weekend.

Don’t forget .pottery is open too, there are lovely walks along the River Parrett, and both and are packed full of fascinating bits of Somerset history.

Honestly, there’s far too much to list properly this weekend. Which feels exactly how Somerset should be.

Also… this is just me. No team, no office, no fact checker, no grand organisation behind it all. So if I’ve got something wrong, apologies in advance, but maybe don’t shout at me for it 🤣 Just send me a message, leave a comment, or add anything I’ve missed below. And if you’re running an event this weekend, pop it in the comments so people can find it.

Alright m’luvers! Have a good’un
