Good morning everyone. Here is a little update for you:
We have an open day today where you are welcome to walk the garden for a donation. You may bring your dogs as long as they remain on a lead at all times and any mess or rubbish is collected and removed. The garden has somewhat been reclaimed by nature over the last few years so if you enjoyed the garden many years ago please don't expect it to look the same. Chris the creator of Town Tree remains incredibly ill and we ask that you respect our privacy by observing any no entry signs.
We would appreciate it massively if you could keep a look out for a lost family dog if you do walk the garden today. She went missing on Monday and no sightings have been reported. I have added details below. Many thanks. Janie.

Hello from Town Tree. As a little update, Chris is in progressed stages of Parkinsons but despite this, he still has his amazing sense of humour and can be found doing what he can from his mobilty scooter, with the occation rescue from family when he gets stuck in a Bush, flower bed or similar 🤣
We are looking to pull together some help to get the garden open. If you think you could donate time with either manual work or support in any way, could you please request to join Friends of Town Tree so we can get an idea of available help please. Our aim is to re open part of the garden for selected dates with a view to fully opening if all necessary work can be completed. Full details are in the group. Thank you. Janie.

COVID UPDATE.
We remain closed for the remainder of 2021. We aim to reopen in the spring of 2022 but will keep you informed of our decision nearer the time.

We do not currently have a website. The site you may see online is fraudulent and not run by us. We remain closed for 2020. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we have been unable to get the fake site removed and understand the frustration of anyone wasting a journey to find we are closed. If anyone has a solution to our problem please message us. Thank you.

80 years ago the world was about to greet the one and only Chris Burnett in to the world. Chris will have his big birthday tomorrow and obviously we can't have the big party we would have liked to have in celebration of the crazy, eccentric creator of Town Tree. If you would like to send any birthday messages or have any stories about Chris I would love to be able to pass some along to him tomorrow. Janie x
