⚽ Redcar Athletic Update ⚽️

A court order has been granted and served today to the occupants at RAFC, they have until 12.00pm tomorrow to vacate.

If the occupants do not leave, the bailiffs have been instructed to carry out the removal.

Unfortunately the police did not feel the situation met the criteria for a section 61.

If anyone has an issues or concerns relating to the occupants, please do report to the police.

I will provide further information as it receive updates.

💧🚧 Water Standpipe Update 🚧💧

I have received confirmation that the work within the boundary of Lily Park relating to the water standpipe installation has been completed. ✅

The standpipe is being installed inside the perimeter of an existing flower bed, tucked away behind the bushes and out of view 🌳🌿, so it should have minimal visual impact on the park.

Northumbrian Water has confirmed that the new meter connection works will begin on Monday 17 August 2026 📅 and are expected to be completed by Thursday 20 August 2026. 🛠️

The works will require a three-way traffic management system 🚦as the water main is located on the opposite side of Oak Road.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience these works may cause 🙏 and really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while they are carried out. ❤️

I’ll continue to keep residents updated as I receive further information. 📢

COMMUNITY UPDATE | REDCAR ATHLETIC

I am aware of visitors currently parked on pitches at Redcar Athletic, Green Lane / Oak Road.

The relevant Councillors, RCBC officers and Cleveland Police are aware, dealing with the situation and are monitoring matters.

Please report any issues, concerns or incidents directly to the police, particularly if you believe there is an immediate safety or public order concern.

I will provide further information and updates as I receive them.

✔️ Are they registered with HM Revenue and Customs
✔️ Do they have valid business insurance 🛡️
✔️ Do they have the qualifications, skills and knowledge needed 🎓
✔️ If it’s a food business, are they registered with Environmental Health and do they have a food hygiene rating 🍽️
✔️ Are reviews genuine and consistent ⭐
✔️ Do they provide clear invoices, receipts or terms of service 🧾

Cheap prices can sometimes come with expensive consequences 🚩

Whether it’s care services, beauty treatments, food, home improvements or events… doing a little homework first can save a lot of stress later 🔍

If you do become a victim or have concerns, seek advice and support from Citizens Advice, Trading Standards and the Police 🤝

💧🚰 Standpipe Update | Lily Park 🚰💧

📧 I recently received an email from Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council officers confirming that work was due to commence on the new standpipe at Lily Park.

🚗 I had a drive past today and was really pleased to see that work has now started! 👷‍♂️

It’s always great to see projects move from an idea to action and finally become a reality for our community 💜

A big thank you to everyone involved in helping to get this project over the line 🤝👏

✅ Another project ticked off the list for Zetland Ward! 📋

💦🌞 The Paddling Pool 🌞💦

Summer 2023 - after I was elected, the paddling pool and play area appeared unloved and neglected

Summer 2026 - drainage repairs, paddling pool repairs, new play equipment and flooring

The paddling pool is truly one of the jewels in the crown 💎👑 of Zetland, and I’m incredibly proud to have played a part in helping bring it back to life.
