Air Rifle Training - Blue Shot 🔫🔫🔫

Have you ever wondered what air cadets get up to at the weekends? Well our cadets love to sign up to training courses and try something new!

One of the really popular events earlier this month was air rifle training and live firing. This involved learning how to operate the air rifle and follow safely drills before completing a weapons handling test to move onto the range.

The cadets thoroughly enjoyed firing the air rifle and we were delighted when they returned with their Blue Shot badge. Well done everyone on demonstrating your fantastic marksmanship skills!

Squadron Enrolments 🎉🎉🎉

Tonight we are delighted to formally enrol 6 cadets into 2293 Marlborough Squadron. Welcome the Royal Air Force Air Cadets!

Our squadron OC, Flt Lt Gray, lead the squadron in a short enrolment ceremony where the cadets said their cadet promise and prayer.

Clay Target Shooting 🎯🎯🎯

As the weather improves, our cadets and staff have been signing up for lots of off squadron events and clay target shooting is always popular!

Although it's not one of the standard air cadet activities, it's a fantastic way to teach the principles of marksmanship and range safety and for cadets develop skills against a range of moving targets.

Everyone who attended had a fantastic day out and we can't wait for the next event!

We thought a good place to start with our spring catchup was to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our cadets.

Over the past few months they've been working incredibly hard across a range of subjects including blue leadership, leading cadet classification training, essential first aid and bronze Duke of Edinburgh.
