| G R A D I N G | We often grade our biochar into two different fractions, 25mm to 8mm and 8mm to dust. This gives us a few different products with the larger size often being used in traditional blacksmithing (not biochar!) or water filters. The smaller fraction makes a really nice to use biochar for home composting and poultry bedding, and in this case is going to be used by as the substrate in their innovative mycorrhizal product “Mycochar”.
It’s a steady process and our bagging machine certainly wasn’t purpose built for this but it’s great to be an able to tailor biochar’s to different uses.
