πŸ’™ Men's Health Week πŸ’™

This Men's Health Week, we're encouraging everyone to help break the stigma surrounding men's mental and physical health.

At NCCN, we believe that by starting conversations, sharing resources, and supporting one another, we can create a culture where men feel comfortable reaching out for help when they need it.

πŸ“Š Did you know?
β–ͺ️ 50% of men will experience mental health difficulties at some point in their lives, yet fewer than half seek medical advice.
β–ͺ️ 37% of UK men admit to actively hiding their mental health struggles from their partners.
β–ͺ️ 30% of men surveyed said they didn't know where to turn for advice or support.

These statistics highlight why it's so important to talk openly about mental health and ensure people know where to find support.

πŸ’™ It's okay to not be okay. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Whether you're supporting a colleague, friend, family member, or looking after your own wellbeing, remember that help is available and nobody has to face their struggles alone.

πŸ’œ Global Wellness Day 2026 πŸ’œ

This year's Global Wellness Day theme is , a powerful reminder that joy isn't just a feeling, it's an important part of our overall wellbeing.

The theme focuses on four pillars that can help us build emotional resilience, balance, and a healthier, happier life:

✨ Joy in Gratitude
Taking time to appreciate life's simple blessings.

🀝 Joy Through Connection
Creating meaningful connections through kindness, empathy, and shared experiences.

🚢 Joy Through Movement
Finding energy and presence through activities such as walking, dancing, stretching, or yoga.

🎨 Joy Through Creativity
Expressing yourself through art, music, writing, cooking, or any activity that sparks your imagination.

Together, these pillars create a roadmap for living more consciously, compassionately, and joyfully every day πŸ’œ

β˜€οΈ How to Stay Healthy & Well This Summer

🧘 Making more time for self-care
β˜• Or simply taking a moment to slow down and recharge

Small changes can make a big difference in helping you disconnect from stress and enjoy more peaceful moments throughout your day πŸ’™

πŸ’™ Carers Week 2026 πŸ’™

This year, Carers Week is focused on building carer friendly communities, helping to increase awareness, understanding, and support for unpaid carers across the country.

Carer friendly communities are places, services, and groups where unpaid carers are recognised, valued, and supported for the incredible role they play every day!

These communities are built by people who:
πŸ’™ Recognise unpaid carers and the vital role they play
πŸ’™ Understand the realities and impact of caring
πŸ’™ Take action to support carers in practical ways
πŸ’™ Empower carers to live fulfilling and balanced lives

To support this important week, the NHSE Experience and Partnerships Team will also be hosting a range of helpful webinars for unpaid carers and workplaces.
