Let's Play is an outdoor stay and play group located at the Cube by Symington's recreation ground (LE16 7DS)

Sessions last 1 hour:

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 10.30-11.30am.

£6.50 per session per child. (Grown ups & babies in arms free)

Activities include, sand and water play, crafts and painting, role play and make believe. We are an all and any weather play group. Please make sure you brin

g suitable clothing for all eventualities. Wellies & waterproofs, sun hats & sun cream. Things get pretty messy so you may want a change of clothes for your journey home! Let's Play activities are suitable for confident walkers to under 5s. We are a stay and playgroup, a parent/guardian is required to supervise little ones at all times. Polite notice: In order for Let's Play to be fun for everyone, please take care with the activities and any equipment.

Carnival 6th June 2026

We are looking for stall holders to join us at The Cube on carnival day

There is no charge to have a stall, we just ask that you bring your own table & gazebo (if you want one)

The day runs between 12-4pm, set up can happen the day before - times for this will be arranged closer to the day, or on the morning of the carnival

We do ask that your stall is family friendly please. For example Face painters, charity groups, children’s activities/groups ,books, clothes, school groups.
** No food or drink stalls please **

Our first Saturday of the year 🐰🐣
Thank you all for coming I hope you all had an
egg-cellent time!

We will have some Easter play out over half term as well - if you haven’t booked but are thinking of coming we only have a handful of spaces left over the next two week 🌈🐰🐣☀️

🅿️ IMPORTANT 🅿️

If you are booked into play this Saturday please note that parking will be busy as I believe there will be football training happening out on the Rec.

Please allow extra time to park & walk

Alternative parking options:

🅿️ Sainsburys, walk over the bridge, cross the road & walk up towards the rec
🅿️ St.Marys rd has two car parks, cross the rd & walk up towards the rec
🅿️ Tesco/Co-op & walk over towards the Eco Village

I always get asked about our rice tray and how I make it… So I’ve made some spring rice bags for you to take home & enjoy.

The bags are £5.50 for 1kg of rice & a scoop. They can be picked up any time during the session.

The little things…

You will always find a borrow basket in the hut. Full of waterproofs, wellies & a coat or two. There for you to help yourself when needed.

There are always wet wipes, hand towels and kitchen roll on hand for when your little one needs a wipe!

At the end of the session each child (and sometimes grown ups!) gets a sticker & a biscuit for good playing & good tidying up. We have dairy free biscuits too.

Lastly, we run a loyalty card scheme. Collect 10 stamps and get a free session.

These might seems like little things but sometimes they make a big difference 🌈☀️

Thank you all for an amazing first week back 🌈☀️

Don’t forget we are now open every Mon, Tues & Wed 10.30-11.30 until December.

We will also be running through all half terms and the summer holidays ☀️

April & May dates will go live tomorrow - these will include Easter half term & May half term
(The first week of Easter is online now)

Our first Saturday session will the end of April ☀️

** Important **

For all those booked on this week this post is for you.
The garden as you can imagine is very muddy, even more so after today’s rain 😢

It’s REALLY important that you take your time when moving round the garden - easier said than done for little ones I know! pls stay with them at all times

🍂 Please make sure you wear appropriate footwear - both little ones and grown ups! Boots or wellies. Trainers will be ruined 😩

🍂 Layers & waterproofs

🍂 Bring spare gloves for home time

🍂 No prams in the garden - pls use a sling

🍂 TOP TIPS
1) Keep something like an Ikea bag in your car. Stand your little one in it, strip off all the wet dirty layers into the bag and then lift your clean child out & into the car.

2) Use all socks as wrist warmers to help keep hands warm - cut off the toes & heel and pull them on like leg warmers.

We run every Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
10.30-11.30

We are open from February to December & run through half terms & the summer holidays.

We are an all outside play group, meaning we play outside come rain or shine. Remember little ones don’t care if it’s raining & are 100% washable!

On the last Saturday of every month we run an extended play session - 10-11.30 (these will start in April)

We also host birthday parties!
