It’d seem someone has objected to FB/Meta about this profile - Matt Shoul - Cliftonville West Green Party - so far, all attempts to find out more via the link in the image have failed, so odds are this profile will soon be blocked by FB/Meta & cease to function. In this event, I may set up a new profile, but probably not until about a year before the next election, which is ideally when I’d like to begin canvassing, if I’m reselected to stand as a Green Party candidate in the ward where I live, so it’s physically possible to meet the vast majority of the electorate in person.

If this profile ceases to function shortly, this’ll be the reason why!

Asked for new PSPO - Public Space Protection Order - signage to be installed on Athelstan Road lampposts & the new Athelstan/Ethelbert alleyway gates, to replace those that have been vandalised/removed etc. - was given the signs & grip ties this morning, as my offer to help install them was ‘interrupted’ as volunteering to do the job myself - only too happy to oblige, as Athelstan Road hasn’t had any PSPO signage informing the community of the key banned activities for quite some time - put in a further request to TDC’s MTF - Multi Agency Task Force - for permanent *metal* signs, as the correx board signs are way too fragile & prone to vandalism, lasting barely a few weeks/months!

TDC Planning Dept. have advised that the Heras fencing which has been partially obstructing Northdown Road, at the corner of Athelstan Road, for months, is a KCC Highways matter - I’ve reported it on the KCC Highways portal - also, TDC’s Multi Agency Task Force is taking this up with the landowner too!

Absolutely thrilled that not only has my Towns Deal bid suggestion for the structural & aesthetic renovation of the Brutalist Walpole Bay steps been approved, but yesterday, Saturday 20.05.23, TDC Strategy Officer Ms. H.S. told me in person that my coastal path drinking fountain proposal has also been approved too - this means that key areas along the upper promenade, such as the Viking Playground, the Oval Bandstand, Palm Bay Lawns etc. will apparently have public drinking fountains funded & installed!

This has very positive plastic environmental implications, as this drinking fountain proposal ought to significantly reduce buying of plastic bottled water by tourists & locals using the upper & lower coastal promenades - which currently suffers marine plastic pollution - absolutely delighted both of these Towns Deal bid proposals have been approved & are going ahead!
