🎬 The TAURON New Horizons International Film Festival is underway!

A ticking time bomb in the Baltic Sea: An ecological and hybrid threat posed by the shadow fleet.

Sailing without reliable insurance, concealing their identities, turning off AIS systems, and violating basic safety standards. Russia’s "shadow fleet" is not merely a mechanism for evading financial sanctions—it poses a direct threat to European maritime security and the environment.

⚠️ Real disaster risk:
• Over 700 aging tankers navigate key maritime routes daily.
• At least 25 major maritime incidents involving these vessels have been recorded since 2022, including collisions, engine failures, and groundings.
🛡️ Hybrid dimension and sabotage:
Shadow fleet vessels are being utilized for sabotage operations targeting European critical infrastructure (including pipelines and undersea cables), particularly in the Baltic and North Seas.

These words, spoken by Jan Stanisław Jankowski on 1st September 1944, reflect the spirit of the Warsaw Uprising, which began on 1 st August 1944.

On the 82nd anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, we honour its brave women and men, as well as the people of Warsaw who supported them🇵🇱

We remember🕯️

„Chcieliśmy być wolni i wolność sobie zawdzięczać.”

Te słowa Jana Stanisława Jankowskiego, wypowiedziane 1 września 1944 roku, oddają sens walki podjętej 1 sierpnia 1944 roku przez powstańców i mieszkańców Warszawy.

W 82. rocznicę wybuchu powstania warszawskiego oddajemy hołd jego Bohaterkom i Bohaterom oraz mieszkańcom stolicy, którzy wspierali walczących🇵🇱

🌊 The international exercise , involving NATO and partner forces, concluded in the waters off the coast of Great Britain 🇬🇧.

The Polish Navy was represented by officers from the 12th Minesweeper Squadron and the crew of 🇵🇱, operating as part of Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group

This is yet another experience that not only strengthens the interoperability and capability of the Polish Armed Forces to operate in an international environment. Joint training also translates into greater readiness to ensure maritime security and operate effectively in allied operations🤝

🇵🇱 Polish Police Day

On 24th July, Poland marks Polish Police Day, commemorating the establishment of the State Police in 1919. It is an opportunity to express our appreciation to all police officers and civilian staff for their dedication and service in safeguarding public safety.

Today we also remember Stanisława Demetraki-Paleolog (1903–1968), one of the most distinguished figures in the history of the Polish Police. Before the Second World War, she headed the Women's Police Department of the Polish State Police Headquarters and played a pioneering role in the development of women's policing, child protection and the fight against human trafficking.
After the war she settled in the United Kingdom. She is buried in Manchester, where representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland paid tribute to her memory today.

On the occasion of Polish Police Day, we extend our sincere thanks and best wishes to all police officers and civilian employees of the Polish Police for their dedicated service.
