πŸš“ Neighbourhood Policing Update | Moston Lane Area

On 1 September 2026, PC Jones spent time in the Moston Lane area speaking with local residents and security staff about concerns affecting the community.
We are aware of reports relating to domestic burglaries and lock-snap burglaries, where offenders are targeting homes to steal vehicle keys and gain access to vehicles. The area has been identified as a location of concern, and Greater Manchester Police has been carrying out targeted work there for several months.
During today's engagement, officers spoke with a number of residents about the importance of reporting crimes and suspicious behaviour as soon as they happen. Every report helps us build intelligence, identify patterns of offending, and direct PCSOs and officers to the areas that need us most. Increased reporting also allows us to deploy proactive patrols and target offenders more effectively.

πŸ“„ Officers also distributed "BURGLARY ALERT: BURGLARS ARE OPERATING IN YOUR AREA" leaflets, providing advice on:
βœ… How to report a crime
βœ… What information police need to investigate offences
βœ… Home security measures to help protect your property
βœ… How to identify vulnerabilities that offenders may target

Providing as much information as possible when reporting incidents gives police a better opportunity to investigate and progress offences.
Many residents told us they were pleased to see officers out on foot and taking the time to discuss local concerns. We remain committed to listening to our communities and working together to make the area safer.

PC Khan Conducts Reassurance Patrols in Blackley Following Recent Burglaries

Earlier today, PC Khan carried out reassurance patrols in the Blackley area following a recent series of burglaries affecting local residents.

During the patrol, PC Khan spoke with several residents at locations impacted by the offences, providing crime prevention advice and discussing practical steps they can take to better protect their homes. This included guidance on the safe storage of high-value items such as gold and jewellery, which have been targeted in recent incidents.

Residents welcomed the opportunity to speak directly with PC Khan, discuss their concerns, and receive advice on safeguarding their properties. The visible police presence was well received, with members of the community expressing that they found it reassuring to see officers patrolling the area and engaging with local people.

Greater Manchester Police will continue to patrol affected areas, engage with communities, and provide support and reassurance to residents.

Neighbourhood Policing Team 3 Executes Successful Early Morning Warrant

Officers from Neighbourhood Policing Team 3 carried out an early morning warrant this week as part of ongoing work to tackle drug-related crime in the local area.
The warrant resulted in two arrests on suspicion of Possession with Intent to Supply (PWITS). Officers also seized several e-bikes and recovered a significant quantity of cannabis.
This positive result highlights the importance of information provided by residents, helping officers target those involved in criminal activity and keep our communities safe.

If you have concerns about drug dealing in your area, please report them to Greater Manchester Police via 101 or the GMP website. In an emergency, always call 999. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support Neighbourhood Policing Team 3 by reporting concerns and helping to make our neighbourhoods safer.
