Wow. 391 votes.

I am incredibly grateful to the 391 of you who voted for me, especially those of you who made clear it was your first time voting Conservative.

In 2023 the Conservatives lost the ward by 692 votes, but this time by only 61 and coming a clear second. I only had 4 weeks to campaign, spending evenings and weekends doing the miles around the ward. It was a pleasure to get to know so many of you, and to have 391 people put their trust in my plan for our villages is truly humbling. I will continue to make the case that our villages need to say NO to more housing, and YES to more infrastructure.

Congratulations to Chris, and I look forward to seeing what he can deliver for our area over the next 12 months at both County and District level now.

I would also like to say well done to all of the candidates who stood in such a well fought campaign, especially to Tom standing as an independent and doing so well.

See you all soon…😊

Incredibly touched to receive this gift from a resident today.

All the support is much appreciated💙 whatever happens tomorrow it has been a pleasure talking to you all over the last few weeks.

Where this is new housing, this is an excellent proposal. Local people should be able to afford local houses.

This makes for an uncomfortable watch. Why are Reform bribing voters?

No wonder so many of us are disillusioned with politics with nonsense such as this. Political campaigning should be around positivity and creating a better future.

A great week speaking to residents across many of our villages, thank you to all of you who gave me some of your time😊. The most important thing to me is being able to listen to your views and shape the candidate and hopefully Councillor I can be for you.

PS, campaigning is such a great excuse to get around our stunning area. Some of the walks in this sunshine have been quite simply the best way to spend an evening! And a drink at the pub after of course…

A few thoughts on speeding earlier today as I walked along Suckley Road in the 30mph section…

The issue is not just on the main roads through our villages, speeding often occurs on the perhaps ‘quieter’ roads that drivers think are less likely to have a mobile speed camera on.

But it is these roads/lanes that matter, as there are plenty of houses and residents who are concerned about their safety outside their house.

I will try and push the County Council to do something about it.

I am launching a petition to say NO to more housing in Leigh Sinton, Rushwick and Alfrick.

Our rural villages cannot take anymore housing, and as one of your by-election candidates I am pushing for immediate action.

With your support, I will write to the Labour Housing Secretary, Steve Reed, and the planning department at Malvern Hills District Council with the results of the petition. I will call for our villages to no longer be a dumping ground for national housing targets, and instead, I will call for action to improve our community infrastructure for existing residents.

Say NO to more housing. Our villages need to remain villages.

I grew up playing any sport I could - football, rugby, cricket, you name it!

I’m pushing for more support for our local sports and recreational facilities as I believe every child who wants to, should have access to sport locally. With so much development in Leigh Sinton and Rushwick, I will work hard to ensure that Section 106 money is continued to be spent on the maintenance of local community assets like Rushwick village green.
