Oooof!!! the big C-shaped crater at the north-western corner of the Malmesbury Moon just claimed a cyclist's front tyre! Pop!

The westbound moon driving experience is feeling really great now. Huge bumps and dips, holes and craters, just like the lunar surface. Big thanks to Wiltshire Council, Balfour Beatty and Simon Killane for only getting half the job done last year.

ATTENTION DRIVERS OF MALMESBURY!
The Malmesbury Moon will offiicially reopen tomorrow morning at 9am.
Like that mad woman who has signed up for a one-way trip to Mars, the Malmesbury Moon this year will be a one-way experience, only enjoyable if you're travelling WESTBOUND towards Parklands and Bremilham School.
You will shudder in amazement at the new lunar landscape we've created with the help of Jack Frost, a thousand school buses and the wonderful neglect of Wiltshire Council.
Don't forget folks - fasten your seatbelts.

WE'RE BACK!!!

Get ready folks.... we're reopening our virtual lunar driving attraction soon........

So we slipped the Balfour Beatty guys a tenner each and they left our Moon Driving attraction still operational. They said it was more than they got paid for doing the job.... Thank You Wiltshire Council! Now, while we wait for the frost and rain to do its job on the eastbound (towards Co-op) side, you can still have fun on the way towards Parklands, for they left that well alone.

What a day! That's alright lads, you can leave it like that...

Those of you impatient for the re-opening of the Malmesbury Moon this winter might like to check out a one-off moon driving experience, courtesy of the developers if the old Customs site on Bristol Road- the collapsed drain there will have your suspension busted if you approach it right....

Those little yellow marks on our patched up craters are indicating to Jack Frost where he has to attack this winter.... Won't be long til we're back, Moon fans!!!!

04/05/2013

So we here at Malmesbury Moon can't believe you townsfolk voted that snitch and do-gooder Killane back in. You've got short memories! He was the one who spoiled the fun and called his council mates to fill in the craters! Alright, they did a rubbish job, so we'll be back next winter, but there were other, better candidates! The Labour bloke, for instance, didn't even know where Malmesbury was, so he was never going to ruin our landmark...

14/04/2013

So this morning, when we said: "crack team of roadmenders"....

Noooooooooo!!!!!! We've been mounting a round the clock guard on our precious landmark but the council were more cunning...

Noooooooooo!!!!!! We've been mounting a round the clock guard on our precious landmark but the council were more cunning. We never dreamed they'd send a crack team of roadmenders just after dawn on a Sunday. Our fun is over, but fear not for the fix looks very temporary. This time next year it'll be even better than before.
