Wher ther was once a beautiful pond with so much life ther are now cars parked and houses built. The green which could be utilised do biodiversity of wildlife is now cut even when I does not need cutting.
No mow before May allows the caterpillars what are evolving under the dandelions to surface. Within the did layer of earth at this time of year so many larvae are resting waiting to bits into life. All that happens now is they are kills by rolling tyres and stampeded on by machinery. Cut, kills, destroyed. What for and what is the reason behind mowing the grass all the time to such a low level. Why keep mowing away the wildlife. It is senseless.
The area could also hold some fruit trees do people to have fresh fruit. A few apple trees or walnut trees, even utilise a small area for self sufficient growing of produce around our areas would be more sensible.

Does anyone know of the name of the man who does the photograph exhibition of Althorne. I belief his mum and dad used to live in my cottage, he was apparently born in my sons little back room.
