CSTV Modus Operandi
Total co-operation from all parties involved is necessary to resolve the on-going problem of gangs and assist in diverting their misspent energy into creativity in the arts and new media or any other activities or projects they wish to pursue. The success of the Crimesharetv innovative project depends upon how resourceful Police Commissioners, local MPs and Councils are and relies on the strength of their relationship which requires a whole new mind set ie young Crimesharetv volunteers working together with the Police and the community to keep their neighbourhood connected and safe while at the same time inviting disadvantaged kids off the street and present them with sound interesting reasons to reject crime. If this is organised correctly, apart from insurance, the cost to the Councils and Police is virtually nil compared to the cost of youth crime to society. The main objective is to work in partnership with local businesses to organise cost free premises in which to base a CSTV studio. The studio will be staffed by local youth overseen by ex-servicemen, ex police officers and responsible adult volunteers. It's important the CSTV Studios have a local presence in the town centre, on the High Street if possible, so it’s accessible to everybody and just like McDonalds the kids know what to expect when they see the Triple A logo. Young people need to own the interactive interconnected initiative and feel they belong to a cool nation wide group of people with the opportunity of working towards a secure future.
All volunteers will be vetted by the police but with comprehensive safeguarding measures in place the operation of the on-line Crimesharetv initiative will be the domain of the local youth who also wish to benefit from vocational education and training in the arts and new media as delivered by the Triple A Multimedia Group with a view to gaining employment in the media industry or launch their own business. Working in partnership with big brand international companies Triple A will equip the studios and call on professional contacts from the media industry to assist the kids with their chosen projects ie if they plan to make a documentary about the history of their neighbourhood and its people arrangements will be made for them to work with and be mentored by a suitable production company. CSTV would like to see young up and coming journalists take a camera crew out into the community to interview both local people and the policy makers alike for feedback on local issues to be broadcast by CSTV. Triple A Multimedia Group are well placed to handle the PR aspect of the project using celebrities to create media awareness of local studios and publicise the creative work young people accomplish in tandem with keeping their community safe and crime free.
