๐Ÿ’™ Today we say goodbye to Gemma Wade, our Business Support Lead for Adult Short Breaks.
Gemma has been so much more than a colleague. Sheโ€™s been a constant source of support and reassurance. Even on the busiest or most challenging days, Gemmaโ€™s ability to lighten the mood, make people laugh and put things into perspective helped lift spirits and bring teams together.
Her kindness, dedication and genuine care for both people and services have left a lasting impact on all of us, and she will be truly missed.

Here is what Gemma has to say about her time with Adult Short Breaks:
"After being part of team for the last six years, Iโ€™m feeling a real mix of emotions as I get ready to leave my role supporting Short Breaks and head over to begin a new chapter in Public Health next week.

Iโ€™ve absolutely loved my time here and feel so lucky to have worked with such an amazing group of people โ€” truly the best work family I could have asked for. Iโ€™ll really miss everyone, from the day-to-day chats and laughter to the support, kindness and sense of teamwork that has made being part of Short Breaks so special.

Iโ€™m so proud of the services and everything they do to support those we support and their families. Itโ€™s been such a privilege to be part of it, and Iโ€™ll take away many happy memories. Thank you all for making my time here so special โ€” I wonโ€™t forget it or you!"

๐Ÿฃ๐ŸŒท Throwback to Easter at Meadowside! ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿฃ

Weโ€™re looking back at a lovely Easter Sunday celebration at Meadowside, where the people we support enjoyed a fun-filled Easter egg hunt in the garden ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿซ

There was lots of excitement as everyone searched high and low to find hidden chocolate eggs, with smiles, laughter, and teamwork all around. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, supporting one another, and celebrating together in such a joyful way ๐Ÿ’›

Moments like these are so important in creating meaningful experiences and promoting wellbeing. This activity links closely to the CQC Quality Statements:
๐ŸŒผ Caring โ€“ Supporting people to enjoy activities they love, building positive relationships and shared experiences
๐ŸŒผ Responsive โ€“ Providing personalised, seasonal activities that reflect individual interests and preferences
๐ŸŒผ Well-led โ€“ Creating an inclusive and positive culture where people feel valued, engaged, and supported
๐ŸŒผ Effective โ€“ Encouraging social interaction, physical activity, and emotional wellbeing through meaningful engagement

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special ๐Ÿฃโœจ
