Get yourself down to Panadero Lounge today, where they’re doing a charity bake sale in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young - one of my Mayoral charities.

Great to see local businesses getting involved in supporting this vital cause ❤️

A huge thanks to everyone who donated to my fundraiser - I’m super proud to have finished with a sub-60 time in the Great Manchester Run 10km today.

Thanks to your kind donations, we raised over £300 for Cardiac Risk in the Young to kick off my Mayoral year!

🏃 I’m getting stuck in with fundraising as the new Mayor straight away, as I’ll be taking on the Great Manchester Run 10k on Sunday 31st May!

This is in aid of one of my Mayoral charities, Cardiac Risk in the Young, and combines my love of running with my role in raising funds for charity.

If you’re able to donate, please visit my fundraising page linked below. All donations will count towards saving young people’s lives.

Last night, with a unanimous vote from his colleagues at Full Council, Cllr James Barber-Chadwick was inaugurated as the new Mayor of Macclesfield.

YOUR new Mayor of Macclesfield said "The theme for my year as Mayor is all about how Macclesfield is a town united against all the odds. We have more in common than that which divides us, and together, we rise as a town.

My two Mayoral charities will be Cardiac Risk in the Young and My CWA - Cheshire Without Abuse and I look forward to fundraising for two charities that are close to my heart."

Following on from my Civic Awards on Sunday, I would like to say a big thank you to a few people.

Firstly Marlborough Primary School for letting us use the hall. Thank you Toni for setting up for us, and being in there to let us in etc

Secondly Windmill Sandwich Bar for providing the catering. It was a fantastic spread which was extremely good value for money and very tasty!

Thirdly Treacle Town Tray Bakes for providing the dessert - who doesn't love a brownie!

I musn't forget Christopher Hickey Magic for keeping the winners and their families entertained before and after the ceremony - wow!

And last but not least, the fabulous Civic Officer for the Town Council, Nicola, for organising a wonderful celebration.

I had the absolute pleasure of watching We Will Rock You by MMTG Theatre at MADS last week. It was fab, and I completely understand why it was sold out.

It was just brilliant! Amazing vocals from all. I will continue to attend their shows after I finish being Mayor.

I felt so privileged to be have been given the opportunity to experience their skills and I would absolutley encourage each and every one of you to support them and watch their shows.
