❤️ A Very Special Day for our Theolie ❤️

Yesterday was a day our keepers have been looking forward to for a very long time.

For the past year, our lovely female coati, Theolie, has been on her own while we worked behind the scenes to find new companions for her.

After months of planning, preparation, travel, quarantine and careful introductions, we're delighted to share that Theolie has finally met her new friends, Clint and Natasha 🦝🐾

As animal keepers, we become deeply invested in the animals we care for, and seeing Theolie take this important step was a truly emotional moment for us all.

Watching her explore, interact, and begin to build relationships with other coatis has been incredibly rewarding 🩷 especially when we found her snuggled up asleep with Clint in her hammock this morning.

We're so proud of her and can't wait to watch their little coati friendship grow together in the weeks and months ahead ❤️

Please give a warm welcome to our newest friends – our wallabies! ❤️
They have only just arrived with us and are sharing the field with our two Rheas! They’re currently settling into their new home and will be getting used to their new surroundings, routines, and the team looking after them. As they’re still very new, we kindly ask everyone to be patient while both our staff and the wallabies get to know each other. During this adjustment period, you may notice them being a little shy or cautious, which is completely normal ❤️
We can’t wait for everyone to get to know these amazing new additions over the coming weeks! ✨

We would like to say a massive thank you to the amazing Beech Dale Bingo Crew for collecting items around Nottingham and donating this wonderful selection of items for our animals ❤️

Thanks to your generosity, we have received a fantastic mix of animal feeds, bowls, enrichment items, bedding, and other essentials that will make a real difference to the animals in our care. Every donation helps us provide comfort, stimulation, and the best possible care for our furry residents.

A very special thank you goes to Sharon and Cath, who kindly delivered everything to us. They were such lovely people and truly put a smile on our staff’s faces during their visit. 😊

Hello everyone, it’s Donna here! 🦭
I just wanted to give a big flipper wave and say a huge THANK YOU to all the wonderful people who have liked, shared, commented on, and donated to our recent post so far! The kindness you’ve shown has been absolutely amazing. Every share helps more people learn about us, and every donation helps make sure that my rescue friends and all the residents here have full tummies and the care they need. There are many wonderful people who help make what we do possible and this special lady is certainly one of them.

Whether she's volunteering her time at the sanctuary, advocating for us, supporting our rescues, sharing our posts, or even surprising our residents with thoughtful gifts, she is always there for us.

Her kindness, dedication, and unwavering support help us every single day.
From the keepers to the seals, and all the animals in our care, we are so grateful to have her as part of our sanctuary family.

💔 We Hate Having to Ask… But We Really Need Your Help 💔

Our rescue is currently bursting at the seams with extra little mouths to feed. We’ve taken in several animals who needed a safe place, care, and a full belly—and we simply couldn’t turn them away.

With so many rescues now relying on us, our food costs have risen dramatically. Many of our animals require fresh meat and fish, which is also what we provide for our resident animals, meaning our usual orders are having to stretch much further and cost much more.

Every day we look at these faces that have already been through so much, and we know they deserve the chance to heal without ever having to worry about where their next meal is coming from. But right now, we are feeling the pressure.

We know times are tough for everyone, and we never take your kindness for granted. But right now, we really do need the community spirit to help us keep these hungry tummies full. Every £1, every share, and every act of kindness makes a difference. ❤️ From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing by us and our animals. 🐾
