On Saturday afternoon, we'll be releasing a trailer revealing the theme of this year's magical Christmas House Tours, and tickets will go on sale. Be sure to book early to get the perfect time slot!

❗ No House Tours on Saturday due to a wedding.

🦖 Dinosaurs Are Coming to Lytham Hall This October Half Term - Book Now! 🦖

Join Ranger Dee on a prehistoric adventure to discover the lost dinosaur egg of Lytham Hall! Prepare to meet a big T-Rex, a baby T-Rex, plus a raptor. You will also meet and greet with baby dinosaurs, and maybe even feed them. Watch out for the evil Ranger, who wants to find the secrets of the egg before you!

❗ This event completely sold out last year, so please book quickly to avoid disappointment!

🕐 Show time is approximately 45 mins to an hour
👨‍👩‍👦 Each child can be supervised on the hunt by one free accompanying adult

Next Saturday, we'll be revealing the theme of our much-anticipated Christmas House Tours for 2026. Tickets will also go on sale that same day.

If you came last year, you'll know how popular and magical these tours are, so we would recommend booking your evening slots as early as possible. We hit full capacity regularly last year. There is no need to book for daytime visits. You can just pay at the door for those.

🍌 Totally Bananas! 🍌

Located along the 120-metre-long historic Paradise Wall in the South Prospect, you will find a distinct, tropical-looking banana plant nestled neatly among the traditional English flora, and it has just fruited!

This striking plant started life in the garden of Greg Anderton's dad, but it soon outgrew the space there and so was moved to our South Prospect border. It's become quite the talking point with visitors ever since!

Greg says that bananas aren’t hardy, so they need wrapping up in fleece in winter, with the leaves then emerging the following spring. Interestingly, bananas were introduced to the UK by Joseph Paxton, who was head gardener to the Duke of Devonshire (William Cavendish, Chatsworth House). Paxton named the famous Cavendish variety after the Duke, which is known for its distinct purple patches on its young leaves.

Our banana plant is five years old. In this photo, you can see one of our gardening volunteers, Judy, posing with its latest crop!

🍅🥕🥦 The Thriving Kitchen Garden 🥦🥕🍅

From vibrant flowers to healthy greens, our Kitchen Garden is absolutely packed with fresh produce. It's such a beautiful and tranquil part of the grounds, too, so have a wander through the next time you're here.

The Kitchen Garden is run and tended to entirely by our volunteers. The fact that it's flourishing so well is a testament to their skill and hard work.
