📕 Lytham Hall Bookshop Reopened! 📕

Following a little refurbishment, the Lytham Hall Bookshop is now open again for you to buy and donate books. Located opposite the entrance to the café, the bookshop is a great way to support the Hall via donation. There are many books from many genres here, as well as a few puzzles too!

The Bookshop relies on your donations, so if you have any books you'd like to donate, we would be very happy to receive them. Please drop them off in the basket provided in the Bookshop when you're next visiting.

🌹🌹🌹 A 'David Austin Roses' Talk with Greg and the Team from Leafy Lytham 🌹🌹🌹

Join Greg and the team for an entertaining and interesting talk with Liam Beddall, Head Rosarian from David Austin Roses. The afternoon includes a talk, Q&A session, and handbook of roses.

During the talk, Liam will share stories and insights into the work of one of the finest rose breeders in the world. He will recommend the best varieties for different settings and explain the difference between shrubs, climbers, and ramblers.

The talk will cover topics that'll help you grow better roses, and will offer advice on planting roses in pots, what compost to use, basic pruning techniques, and the importance of mycorrhizal fungi and rose food.

For those who love the idea of having cut flowers in their garden, the team will talk about roses that make fabulous cut flowers. Plus, for those cottage garden lovers, there will be information on Companion planting and Planting in Groups; often a key feature of the cottage garden style.

£25 per person, with tea/coffee and a cream scone included!

⭐ We'd like to thank Lee Schofield for donating this fantastic print of a pheasant he photographed in our historic parkland earlier in the year.

We often share Lee's photos on our social media on Wednesday mornings, so he kindly gifted us this print as a thank you. This particular photo was taken on a rainy day, when a sudden break appeared in the clouds and the pheasant gazed up into the emerging light.
