Rob Boole was pleased to judge the South West Area YFC Farm Machinery Skills Competition ahead of the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs Finals in July.

Rob was impressed by their observational skills. The competition provided a valuable opportunity to highlight the importance of carrying out thorough pre-start checks & Safe Stops.

Well done to everyone who took part and best of luck to those progressing to the Nationals.

Following a recommendation from ex-military security specialist Frank Cannon, who described the SmartWater forensic marking system as “the best on the market”, we've partnered with DeterTech and deployed SmartWater across our full inventory, alongside deterrent signage and cameras.

Our entire fleet; including every power tool, hand tool, and even our office equipment has been methodically marked against our asset register.

We've had great feedback from our candidates about our new washdown area. Rob Boole fixed stockboard against wooden batons to protect the existing fabric of the building, also allowing the strimmer wall brackets to be securely mounted. We've used strong magnetic EquiHooks to hang the goggles directly onto the galvanized stanchions.

This week we’ve been investing in the continued development of two of our highly experienced Forestry & Arb instructors. They’re now expanding their expertise to deliver Lantra’s Operating a Chainsaw from a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) course.

Supporting our fab instructors as they grow within the sector, and helping them gain additional verified competencies is something we’re genuinely proud of.

Expect the unexpected...

Being based in a rural location, we understand the challenges many of our clients face when it comes to emergency response. Until recently, the nearest defibrillator was located several miles away at the local village hall. We’re pleased to announce that Greenway Training now has immediate access to our own on-site defibrillator.

We welcome thousands of candidates through our doors each year, making us the second-largest provider of Lantra courses. Our whole team feels a strong sense of responsibility to demonstrate best practice, and we are committed to creating the safest possible environment for everyone who trains with us.

From first aid kits and eyewash stations around the site to fully first-aid-trained instructors, assessors, and office staff, safety is at the heart of everything we do.
