We are delighted to announce that Michael Rosen will be joining Alistair McGowan for our January Desert Island Poems - a very special evening of poetry, conversation and stories with one of Britain’s best-loved writers and performance poets.

Friday 22 January, 7pm.

Dementia UK is offering free, confidential clinic appointments with a specialist dementia nurse, known as an Admiral Nurse – coming to Nationwide LUDLOW branch on Thursday 24th September 2026.

On Saturday 26th September, we will be joined by Dr Peter Toghill, part of the team in charge of the dig at the Condover Quarry when the mammoth was discovered.

Karen Harris from the museum service will be sharing her account of overseeing the mammoth replica installation that still stands proudly in our exhibition.

Our resident history expert, Stephanie, will also be sharing her knowledge on our mammoth and providing talks in our exhibition that will be open for free for the event.

We would love to see lots of you there to celebrate this very special anniversary.
