Afternoon all,

I hope everyone’s enjoyed the half-term, especially the sun worshippers, as the weather’s been unusually kind. I, on the other hand, have spent most of it with a flannel on my head battling a migraine and dreaming of autumn…⛈️ 🍃
Anyway, enough of that. Here’s a quick snapshot of what your and teams have been up to this week:

First up, PC #1572 Flint, your and officer, is pictured with staff from the Seagull Theatre, who run a sing-along group for people living with dementia. A brilliant cause and a great example of the community work happening locally.

Next, PC #5132 Boakes and PC #5024 Overton from have been on night patrol in Bungay following reports of criminal damage. We’re aware of the recent graffiti issues and are working closely with partners to tackle the problem. Investigations remain ongoing and as you can see, we are being proactive in our response. .

PC #731 Brown local officer for and wards has been actively patrolling the area of Limes Avenue following reports of in the early evenings.

And finally, as part of our campaign, PC #822 Salazar another of your and beat officers, has been out with the speed gun on Beccles Road (Carlton Colville) and London Road (Pakefield), stopping a number of drivers and issuing tickets for offences including excess speed and not wearing a seatbelt.

That’s it for now. Keep an eye out this weekend for our Street Meet post containing dates, time and locations where you can meet up with your local beat officer.

Sgt #1727 Bemment

Lowestoft and Beccles, it's been a pleasure again!

The Town Centre Team have had a great time over the past two days.
Yesterday, the team enjoyed footpatrol in Lowestoft and arrested two juveniles who were engaging in ASB, the pair were issued s35 dispersal order, and were arrested after they were found in breach of this.
Today, we've gone two-for-two again and arrested two adults for court warrants in Lowestoft. The team has also patrolled Beccles Town Centre, Lowestoft's Sparrows Nest, the Hospital grounds, Station Square and London Road North.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

CPT Weekly Round-Up – Bank Holiday Edition ☀️

A quick round-up of all things CPT this week as we head into the Bank Holiday weekend - and for once it’s actually looking sunny… let’s hope it stays that way!

Last Sunday, PCSO Dennington headed along to the Kessingland Car Boot Sale for a street meet. The team there were incredibly welcoming, and he spoke with so many of you as you browsed for bargains. It was great to see such a fantastic turnout – we’ll definitely be back!

Our overnight patrols continue as always. The RIT team don’t always have time to grab photos, but they’re out there working hard nonetheless. This week, PC #968 Raymond spent his night shifts over in Beccles and Bungay, patrolling your areas while most of us were asleep.

On Friday, with the lovely weather, we made the most of it by patrolling our local parks as part of our anti-social behaviour and community engagement work. We even managed to grab a photo at Sparrow’s Nest when Sgt #493 Coote and Sgt #1727 Bemment got out for a walk.

Whilst on patrol, PC #822 Salazar spotted a female in a Pakefield car park in possession of nitrous oxide. While this substance was previously controlled under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016, it was reclassified as a Class C drug in 2023, meaning possession is now illegal. The nitrous oxide was seized at the scene, and the female was dealt with at the time, opting to be interviewed on location. She has since received an out of court disposal.

Meanwhile, PCSO #3338 Hedley Lewis and the Crime Prevention Team were busy over in Beccles. Following his walk around Rigbourne Hill, St Anne’s Park and Darby Park, he headed to Beccles Primary School to meet our Crime Prevention Team for their summer fete. Thank you again for inviting us along – it was lovely to see so many of you there!

Today, the Lowestoft Volunteer Police Cadets and Crime Prevention Team are in Beccles for the Food and Drink Festival. If you’re heading down, come and say hello – you’ll find us next to St Michael’s Church!

Stay safe and enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend 🌞
