⚽️🏆The Men’s World Cup has officially started!⚽️🏆

The World Cup is a fantastic time to see the incredible things that can happen when people come together. As we cheer on our favourite teams, lets take that same spirit of teamwork into our daily lives. Whether you are heading out to a pub with friends or staying in to enjoy it with your family, lets commit to keeping each other safe, respected and included.

It is wonderful to see flags from around the world displayed on homes, cars and local businesses during this time. If you want to support your team by flying a flag please celebrate responsibly by being considerate of others. Let's make Louth the most welcoming, respectful and safe Town for everyone to enjoy during the 2026 World Cup.

🌷🪻🌾Petals of Positivity – Inspire Community Activities🌷🪻🌾

As the British weather struggles against the impending summer months, the team at Inspire Community Activities have been busy planting beautiful blooms of flowers around the town centre. While the grey skies might be lingering a little longer than we’d like, Inspire have done a fantastic job of ensuring our town remains a bright, welcoming place for residents.

According to Audrey Hepburn: "To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow." Louth Town Council would like to extend a massive thank you to the brilliant team at Inspire for putting these together. These vibrant displays are a wonderful reminder of the care, hard work, and community spirit that thrives in Louth.

The Mayor, Councillor Mrs. Karen Parsons, has also been rather busy adding some flower power to the town. Accompanied by Deputy Mayor, Councillor Paul Starsmore, they have been distributing hanging baskets to the shops in the town centre to add a spot of sunshine for Louth citizens and visitors who enjoy the historical market town.

So, we invite you to take a stroll through the town centre and admire the floral displays.

Keep it clean, recycle right ♻

Ever wondered why we ask you to make sure your recycling is clean?

Food and liquid left in bottles, cans or tins can contaminate other items in your bin — and even affect the whole load collected by the lorry.

Before you pop them in your recycling, just empty and give them a quick rinse. It helps keep your recycling on track and your bin fresher too.

You can also squash plastic bottles and crush cans to save space.

Thank you for doing your bit.
