STATEMENT - 21 May - 9.30AM

Loughborough Town Hall will be closed today (Thursday) following a fire in the men’s toilets in the foyer area last night at around 7.30pm.

The evening show was about to start, and all audience members, staff and show performers and crew were safely evacuated, and there were no reported injuries.

The Fire Service were called and they put out the fire.

The cause is believed to be deliberate, with Police also called to the scene. We are assessing the damage across the day.

We would like to thank the Fire Service and Leicestershire Police for their prompt response and our staff at the Town Hall for safely evacuating the building and supporting audience members during this time.

We are hoping to re-arrange last night’s show with discussions with That’ll Be The Day’s producers ongoing. LTH will be in direct contact with all ticket holders to discuss next steps.

The next scheduled show is tomorrow night Vampires Rock: Eternal Love – The Musical. We will confirm as soon as possible if it can go ahead and will also provide further updates on the re-opening of the building.

We’re back at Loughborough Artisan Market this Sunday 17th May from 10am till 4pm ✨

As always, we’ll be surrounded by a fabulous mix of talented independent traders, beautiful handmade things, tempting treats and the general chaos of me trying not to spend all my takings on other people’s stalls.

Fingers crossed we’re positioned near cake and goodies again… priorities matter (There is not very subtle hint there Loughborough Markets) 🍰😂

We’ll have a selection of our handcrafted sterling silver jewellery, gifts and new pieces with us, so if you’re nearby do come and say hello, have a browse and enjoy a lovely day supporting small businesses, independent trades and fabulous makers and bakers.
