πŸ§ͺ Salters’ Institute Chemistry Discovery Day

On Wednesday 17 June, our Year 10 Triple Science students visited the University of Nottingham for a Salters’ Institute Festivals of Chemistry Discovery Day.

✨ Word of the Week: Missionary Discipleship

How can we share the love of Jesus through our everyday actions? πŸ’›

Missionary discipleship reminds us that faith is not something we keep to ourselves. Through our words, kindness, service and compassion, we are called to share Christ's love with others.

By living with joy and hope, we can help others encounter Jesus and make a positive difference in the world around us.

πŸ™ This week, challenge yourself to be a missionary disciple through one simple act of love, kindness or service.

✨ Word of the Week: Eucharist

The Eucharist is at the heart of the Mass and means "thanksgiving." Through Holy Communion, Catholics give thanks to God and are strengthened to follow Jesus in their daily lives.

The Eucharist reminds us of Jesus’ love and sacrifice, helping us grow closer to Him, become one family in Christ, and serve others with kindness and compassion. πŸ’›

We are grateful to Jack, Gary and all GXO staff for their warm welcome and for sharing their expertise with our students. πŸ‘

🧠 Ethics Training

Students in Years 8–10 recently took part in ethics training delivered by the Modus Ponens Institute (MPI) in America via Zoom.

Working with an online tutor, students explored ethical thinking and learned how to structure complex arguments in debate format, developing valuable skills for future competitions and discussions.

We are very grateful to MPI for supporting and inspiring our students through this fantastic opportunity. πŸ‘
