Following reports circulating within the community regarding the possible closure of the Morrisons Daily store in The Row, New Ash Green, Ash-cum-Ridley Parish Council contacted Morrisons directly to seek clarification.
Morrisons has confirmed that it has no official information regarding any planned closure of the New Ash Green store at this time.
The Parish Council recognises the importance of the store and the services it provides to local residents, particularly the Post Office and ATM facilities. While there is currently no indication that the store will close, the Parish Council will continue to monitor the situation and maintain contact with relevant organisations.
Should circumstances change in the future, the Parish Council stands ready to work with the Post Office, banking providers and other stakeholders to help protect these important community services for residents.
