SLPP UK & Ireland Regional Women’s Council Marks International Women’s Day with Thanksgiving Service

Under the leadership of Madam Jennifer Tengbeh, Head of the SLPP United Kingdom & Ireland Regional Women’s Council, the council joined women across the world to observe International Women’s Day with a special thanksgiving service on Sunday. The event brought together members, supporters, and community leaders in prayer, reflection, and celebration of women’s achievements.

Working closely with her Deputy, the Executive, and dedicated members of the council, Madam Tengbeh continues to demonstrate strong and purposeful leadership that is helping to strengthen the role of women within the region. The council remains committed to promoting unity, participation, and empowerment among women in the diaspora.

At the heart of the region’s progress are two remarkable women whose leadership continues to inspire many. Their dynamic and committed leadership has strengthened the Women’s Council, creating a space where women support one another, grow together, and actively contribute to political and community development.

Their guidance has helped unite women across the region, encouraging collaboration, empowerment, and greater participation in leadership. Through their dedication and vision, they continue to champion the role of women and ensure that the voices of women in the diaspora remain strong and influential.

Held under the theme “Women in Politics: Collaboratively Working to Give & to Gain,” the thanksgiving service served as a reminder that when women lead with purpose and unity, they uplift communities and inspire the next generation of leaders. 🙏✨
