Ahead of the 8th Commonwealth Climate Finance Access Hub (CCFAH) Steering Committee Meeting in Colombo, the CCFAH delegation held courtesy calls with the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development

The engagements highlighted Sri Lanka’s commitment to advancing climate resilience, strengthening partnerships and expanding access to climate finance at a time of increasing climate and development pressures.

Discussions focused on mobilising investment for climate adaptation and resilience, strengthening institutional capacity, and supporting inclusive, country-led climate solutions that respond to national priorities.

Hosting the Steering Committee Meeting in Sri Lanka provides an opportunity to highlight the country’s leadership in climate resilience and recovery, while reinforcing the Commonwealth’s role as a trusted platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange and collective climate action.
