And just like that… my last Twinnies Minis class before maternity leave 🥹

I was actually debating whether to put on one last class, especially being this heavily pregnant and I even felt nervous getting up this morning because I haven’t taught a class for a few weeks (which sounds ridiculous considering how many of these classes I’ve done 😂) but it really is like riding a bike. As soon as I walked into that room and saw all of you lovely people and your gorgeous babies, I instantly felt at ease. Just completely in my happy, calm place 🥹

And I had the most special morning.
It’s such a bittersweet feeling because I know how much we’re going to miss Twinnies Minis. It’s been such a huge part of our lives and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to properly put into words how much it means to us or how special it has been getting to know so many of you and your little ones.

But at the same time, we are so excited for this next chapter of our lives.
This isn’t goodbye though!! We’ll still be here and will keep you updated with coffee mornings, brunches, little pop-ups and any other excuse we can find to get everyone together 🥰

Thank you for being part of something that is so, so special to us. We feel incredibly lucky to have had this little community around me and today was the loveliest way to finish before maternity leave 🥹🤍

Well this was a bit of a special one 🥹🧡🍁

Eliza brought baby Levi along to his very first Twinnies Minis class. I don’t know if it’s because I’m about to go off and have my own little baby, but this one definitely got me 🥹 Having Eliza back in class, but this time as a mummy with her own little baby there and it being my last class before maternity leave too… just felt really special.

Little Levi slept through pretty much the entire class (which is your little reminder that it is completely normal for your baby to fall asleep during class - sometimes those little eyes just cannot stay open!)

Luckily, he decided to wake up right at the end so I could squeeze in a very quick cuddle 🥹 (obviously I wasn’t letting him leave without one!!).

And I also put poor Eliza to work on colourful cape duty (so I could squeeze in a cuddle)… but Levi loved watching his mummy in action 🥹 we cant wait to show him these videos when he’s older! His first day at mummy’s workplace!

Feeling very lucky that the timing worked out and I got to have this little moment before I finished 🥹

Anyone else get to the end of the feed, nappy change, cuddle, little chat… and think right, what are we doing NOW? 😂

At 3–6 months, play really doesn’t need to be complicated. Your face, your voice, a bit of floor time, peekaboo, grabbing toes, reaching for a toy… all those everyday moments are giving your baby opportunities to practise the skills they’re busy developing 🤍

So no, you don’t need to create a new sensory activity for every wake window 😅

We’ve put together some of our favourite simple, development-friendly ways to play with your 3–6 month old and most need absolutely no prep.

A month of new beginnings, changing routines and lots of big feelings.

To the parents watching their little ones walk through the school gates again…

To those dropping their baby off at nursery for the very first time, holding back the tears until you’re back in the car…

To the parents returning to work and wondering how on earth you’re supposed to switch that part of your brain back on…

To the little ones starting somewhere new, and the bigger ones moving into their next chapter…

And to anyone simply trying to find their feet again after the summer, we’re thinking of you 🤍

September can feel exciting, emotional, overwhelming and hopeful all at once.

Be gentle with yourselves while everyone adjusts. New routines take time, and you’re all doing better than you think ❤️

I know I haven’t experienced motherhood for myself just yet but I know so many mums on here are in the thick of it every single day 🤍

The tired days, the overwhelming days, the days where you question if you’re doing enough… all while being someone’s whole little world 🥺

I can only imagine how hard some days must feel but also how one little cuddle, smile or “mummy” can make it all feel worth it.

I saw this quote and just thought it might be something a mum on here needed to read today ❤️

For all the mummies giving so much of themselves every single day… I hope you know just how special you are to those little people who call you Mummy 🥺🤍 ###

There’s SO much pressure to feel like we should constantly be doing things with our babies to help their development… when actually, so much of the good stuff happens in the really normal everyday moments 🤍

Chatting away during a nappy change, singing the same song for the 100th time 😂, copying their little noises, getting face-to-face… but also just stopping and giving them time to respond.

That back-and-forth might seem like nothing, but it’s where so much early communication, connection and bonding starts 🥹

And a huge part of it is simply tuning into your baby. Are they interested? Do they want more? Are they turning away and telling you they’ve had enough?

You don’t need to entertain them every second or have loads of activities planned. You’re both just getting to know each other 🤍

Which feels very relevant right now with Eliza officially in the newborn bubble and me not far behind, this feels like a good reminder for us too.

Less pressure to “do it all”… and more time just watching, responding and getting to know the little person in front of you 🫶
