Women In Politics and UNSOC are collaborating on an event on Women in Foreign Policy. Sara Sajjad is an LSE alumnus, International Engagement Lead for COP26 and Interviews Coordinator at Women in Foreign Policy. She will be discussing feminist foreign policy, her career in diplomacy, activism concerning climate action, human rights and inclusivity and her views on achieving gender equality in foreign policy. She will be talking about particular case studies, her projects and policies that can be promoted to promote inclusivity.
Join us on Tuesday, February 1st at 5 PM at 32.L and ask her any questions. It will be a hybrid event and will comprise of a 40 minute long talk followed by a 20 minute long question and answer session.

Sara Sajjad currently works for the Unit for International Engagement in the incoming COP26 Presidency team, for the UK Government’s Cabinet Office. The UK hosted the 26th UN climate summit, bringing together parties to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. She also volunteers for Women in Foreign Policy (WiFP) - an organisation advocating for an intersectional and representative workforce in International Affairs. Sara holds an MSc in Human Rights from The London School of Economics and Political Science and has previously graduated with a First-Class Honours BA in International Relations. During both degrees, she specialized in gender and women’s rights in South Asia. She is interested in championing climate action, human rights, and inclusivity.
