Wandle Industrial Museum The museum was founded in 1983. Its mission is to preserve, store, and interpret the heritage and history of the industries and people of the River Wandle.

An industrial heritage walk along the Wandle Trail from Colliers Wood station to Earlsfield, taking in Merton Mill (later Connolly Bros leather works), Paxton’s patent leather works, Wandle Nature Park, The Old Coppermill near the AFC Wimbledon stadium, the Corruganza works where the trade union activist Mary Macarthur supported a group of striking women and girls in 1908, and Garratt Mills which made gunpowder for the 17th century Anglo-Dutch wars.
