Some good news to make you smile👇

🌻 We reduced our reliance on fossil fuels by 36%! This is a big step towards our goal to be climate positive by 2030

🪷 We placed second in the annual Waterlily Weigh Off, competing against 60 other gardens globally

🫘 ...and after the Weigh Off, we donated the 90 kg of beans used as weights to our local food bank

🚰 The horticulture team at Kew Wakehurst developed an irrigation system using their lake, reducing reliance on mains water

🌿 We've launched a new £10 ticket! Every Tuesday until 2027, enjoy the Gardens for just £10

💚 The Kew International Medal was awarded to António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations

DEATH BLOOM ALERT 😵

Our mountain agave (Agave montana) is getting ready to bloom... and then also die!

These plants bloom once in their life and the blooms end their lifecycle. This specimen was planted in 2007, and the unusually hot summer has triggered to upcoming bloom.
