Last week for Learning Disability Week, we headed to Green Lanes for their Short Breaks open day 🌞

Short Breaks offer vital support to carers by giving children and young people opportunities to spend time away from their primary carers, in a safe and fun environment 💜

It was a fantastic day, with our members helping out in the sunshine and getting involved in the activities 🌈✨

We’re SO excited for Ealing Mencap’s Stand With Us event on the steps of Ealing Town Hall – and it’s happening TOMORROW! 💜

This year’s theme is “Do you see me?” – a joyful celebration of people with learning disabilities, their voices, and the amazing contributions they make to life in Ealing.

Every single person who joins us on the Town Hall steps helps make our voices louder and our message stronger. Your presence truly matters. 💫

We’re just 1 week away from our Stand With Us event for Learning Disability Week in Ealing – and we can’t wait to see you there!

This year we’ll be signing along in Makaton to “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman 🎶
So this is your reminder to have a practice – learn the signs, sing along, and get ready to make some noise for inclusion and visibility.

Throwback Tuesday to the fabulous YSN “Let’s Get Active” event for young people with additional needs 🎉💙

The event was organised by YSN in association with Ealing Mencap 🤝💚

We had amazing dance instructors 💃🕺, Brentford Football Club running sports activities ⚽️🔥, arts and games 🎨🎲 and of course ice lollies to cool down… it was a VERY hot day! ☀️🥵🍧
