THE NAMELESS BALLAD. A film by Federico Zampaglione

ICI London is delighted to support the World Premiere of The Nameless Ballad by Federico Zampaglione, as part of London – The Dark Heart of Cinema, the UK Festival dedicated to the best of Horror movies on the planet.

THE NAMELESS BALLAD by Federico Zampaglione
Sunday 29th of August, 9 pm
At the ODEON Leicester Square
In English only

Death is a powerful muse. Under pressure from his record label, a young musician in crisis takes refuge in an isolated Italian villa to find inspiration for his next album. But the discovery of an ancient piano and a forgotten diary drags him into a spiral of twisted obsessions, supernatural visions and ghostly presences that finally push him to the brink of madness.

MALAPARTE, ENGLISHMEN AND OTHERS
International Seminar

What was Curzio Malaparte’s relationship with England? And how did British culture, people and history shape one of Italy’s most provocative and fascinating writers of the 20th century?

Join us for an international seminar exploring Malaparte’s little-known connections with England, from his 1933 correspondence for the Corriere della Sera to unpublished letters exchanged with prominent British figures.

30 September 2026
6 pm
at ICI London, new venue (4–5 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6JP)

Featuring scholars from the UK, Italy and France, the evening will explore Malaparte’s writings, friendships, correspondence and representations of English culture — offering new perspectives on the author of Kaputt and The Skin.

The programme will culminate in “Malaparte as Imaginary Interlocutor”, a conversation with poet and scholar Alex Houen, author of Malapartings.

The event will be held in English and Italian, with simultaneous interpretation into English.

THE ITALIAN LIBRARY– E QUALCOSA RIMANE TRA LE PAGINE CHIARE E LE PAGINE SCURE. FRANCESCO DE GREGORI
