Sometimes it's the little things that make swimming easier.

A light wall to keep a sibling busy while you wait. A cosy corner for a child that needs a few extra minutes to feel calm before their lesson.

At GetSetSwim, we think about what happens around the lesson, as much as what happens once our swimmers are in the pool.

Because for families, a stress-free swim isn't just about the 30-minutes in the water, it's everything around it too.

That's right - there's no 'back-to-school' chaos here.

We don't do stop-start terms at GetSetSwim.
We run 50 weeks of the year with a monthly subscription that means your child's space is secure for as long as they need it.

No scrambling to rebook every term. No losing their favourite time or teacher.
And you can start or end any time that suits (minimum three month initial term).

One less thing to think about, because swimming lessons shouldn't be stressful.

Ever wondered why your child is blowing bubbles during their lesson?
It might just look like play, but it’s actually where their whole swimming journey begins.

Blowing bubbles teaches swimmers to exhale underwater.
This gives them total breath control, keeps water out of their nose, and helps their bodies stay relaxed.

Once they are calm, they can finally understand how their body floats - buoyancy. You’ll often see this as 'bobbing', breathing in above water while exhaling below. And, as our fab teachers demonstrate, every swimmer has their own style: Marcelo is doing a full rollercoaster bob, while Dominic is pacing himself hovering on the surface!

You can help fast-track your child's progress by practising at home: try blowing bubbles in the bath tonight - or get them blowing bubbles through a straw in a glass of water at the kitchen table (not when out and about!).

Trust the process, parents - it all starts with bubbles...

Daily sessions build confidence as well as technique - and our amazing teachers love seeing how far our swimmers can progress in just five days of 30 minute lessons.
