Preliminary Club: 3 years+ (600 metres plus)

-Safe entry and exit
-Correct timing when swimming on their front & Back
-Correct timing when swimming Breaststroke & Butterfly
-25m & 50m sprints all 4 strokes
-Using Kickboard, Hand paddles, Pull buoy, Flippers
-Starts and turns on all 4 strokes
-Stamina building whilst Swimming for 1 hour
-Sculling (Feet first & Head first)
-Treading water minimum of 5 minutes with 1 hand out the water
-Racing dives -Grab Start, Track start

Once we feel your child has mastered all 4 strokes we will recommend them joining a competition Swimming club. If your child is aged 16 or over and interested in becoming a Swimming Teacher we can look at employing them and become a member of our team.

The number one question we get asked here at Dolphin Swim Academy, is, "When should I start my child in swim lessons?

Well, we are here to help answer that question! We offer swim lessons to swimmers as young as three months old!

For Baby swim lessons, You, or an adult caregiver, will accompany your child in the water as our skilled teachers guide you through skills and activities designed to give your child a greater sense of comfort and confidence in the water.

From breath control to baby back float, this level will focus on readying your child for parentless participation. Watch your child learn to hold their breath underwater, crawl out of the pool, and learn how to push off the wall and swim independently.
