Today, March 6th, we celebrate Ghana’s Independence Day, marking its freedom from British colonial rule in 1957. As the first African country to gain independence, Ghana holds a special place in history, inspiring liberation movements across the continent. Here are some key facts about this remarkable nation:

🌍 Location: Ghana is a West African country, bordered by Côte d'Ivoire to the west, Burkina Faso to the north, Togo to the east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.

🏛️ Capital City: Accra

👑 First President: Dr. Kwame Nkrumah – A visionary leader who played a crucial role in Ghana’s independence and Pan-Africanism.

🌊 Volta River: One of Ghana’s most significant water bodies, home to Lake Volta, the world’s largest artificial reservoir by surface area.
