🚣‍♀️ PARADE NIGHTS REIMAGINED 🌊

Our cadets have been getting stuck into Paddlesports on parade nights and having an absolute blast doing it! From racing across the water to mastering new skills, teamwork and laughs were in full supply.

Some cadets even managed an unexpected swim… 👀💦 while the staff somehow took part and stayed completely dry (we’re still not sure how!).

It’s all part of bringing more adventure, activity and fun to squadron life, because parade nights should be anything but ordinary!

Thanks to for running yet another fantastic session.

April saw 34SQN take part in the Target Sprint Competition, entering 3 teams for the first time ever — achieving some fantastic results 🎯🏃‍♂️

The squadron achieved:
🥈 No.2 RAFAC Team (4x🥈 medals)
🥈 No.2 Top Community Cadet Team (4x🥈 medals)

A special congratulations to Cadet Wilkins who achieved:
🥈 No.2 Top RAFAC Cadet
🥇 No.1 Over 16 Final with an impressive time of 6 minutes 40 seconds (3x 400m runs and 2x shoots)

Cadet Wilkins will now go forward to the Target Sprint Championships 👏

The OC and CI Creasey also took part in the adult competition, with CI Creasey finishing as the fastest female adult, whilst the OC discovered the cadets are very capable of taking embarrassing running photos 📸😂 (none are featured in this post, as the OC has veto rights)

A huge well done to everyone who represented 34F SQN throughout the competition.

This time last year, we were preparing for the prestigious Lees Trophy inspections 🏆

Month of hard work and dedication, led to us being selected to represent London & South East as the region’s top unit — later being awarded the Morris Trophy as runners-up, officially making us Number 2 🥈in the country.

This achievement made possible by the commitment of our cadets, staff, and supporters.

With this years selection underway we want to wish every squadron taking part good luck.

🎉 TRIPLE VICTORY FOR 34F SQN! 🏆🔥
This week, we’re celebrating Three incredible achievements that showcase the talent, creativity, and determination of our cadets, both on the field and beyond. 💪✨

🎨 CDT Oxford has been crowned winner of the Wandsworth Deputy Lord Lieutenant’s Pin Badge Design Competition, beating entries from cadets across all services in the borough! Her winning design, inspired by Wandsworth’s Borough of Culture 2025 nomination, will be turned into a real pin badge and presented to every cadet from the Army, Sea, RAF and Combined Cadet Forces in Wandsworth. 🟦🔺⚓✈️
“I love art and making things, so I entered the competition to challenge myself creatively. I didn’t expect to win — I was shocked and honoured to be invited to Wandsworth Town Hall to meet the Deputy Mayor and Deputy Lord Lieutenants!”
For her fantastic work, CDT Oxford has won:
📱 A brand new iPad
🎢 A VIP trip to Lift 109 at Battersea Power Station for 10 friends
🎨 And an exclusive design session with Apple’s graphic design team!
What an outstanding achievement — you’ve made the whole squadron proud! 👏

🏃‍♂️ Meanwhile, while we are staying on track…
CDT Ilmane and CDT Bryndza represented at Region Athletics, smashing their events:
🥇 1st place – Junior Men’s 300m (CDT Ilmane)
🥈 2nd place – Senior Women’s High Jump (CDT Bryndza)
Their success helped secure the overall win for London Wing! 💥

From creative brilliance to athletic dominance, our cadets are going from strength to strength — just in time to shine ahead of our upcoming visit from Commandant Air Cadets!

Last month, the squadron supported 2️⃣ RunThrough events at Battersea Park, providing over 30 volunteers each time! 🏃

From handing out water to cheering on runners, they played a key role behind the scenes while engaging with the community and modelling the RAFAC values immaculately . 💙

🎉 REGIONAL LEES TROPHY NOMINEES! 🎉

We recently had the honor of hosting the Regional Commandant as part of the Lees Trophy selection process — a prestigious competition to find the top squadron in the country.

It was an incredible evening where our cadets and staff showcased the outstanding work happening within the unit. The RC even had a chance to test his ranks and badges knowledge, and we’re proud to say the Regional Warrant Officer was very impressed! From engaging with the inspection party to enjoying some well-deserved cake, the night was filled with excitement and the atmosphere was electric.⚡️

We’re thrilled to announce that the Regional Commandant has selected us as the Regional Nominee for the next round of the competition! 🙌

We would like to thank the Regional Commandant, Chief of Staff and Region Warrant Officer for attending.
