Highbury Roundhouse is a youth and community centre set up in 1974 to meet the needs of young people in and around Highbury. Since then it has grown and developed in to a thriving community centre, which provides educational and recreational facilities for people of all ages and backgrounds. From pre-school to old age, there is something for everyone. We host under five's activities, after-school

clubs, holiday playschemes, a range of dance, drama and music groups for children and young people. We currently run weekly karate classes, pilates, music classes and sessions for relaxation and well being for all ages. We provide a lunch club for the elderely and manage a day care centre which provides a range of activities for pensioners to enjoy. Highbury Roundhouse is the local community hub for Highbury, it serves a large cross section of the community & with your help and support we hope to continue doing so.

Through support and funding from you, charities, and the Mayor of London himself, we are now proud to announce that our new community center is soon going to be open for business!

We are looking for creative, self-motivated, dynamic and reliable playworkers to work in our school based provisions with children from the age of 3 to 11 years.

Applicants must be able to work from 3pm to 6pm during term time and up to 35 hours a week during school holidays.

We require candidates to have qualifications in playwork at level 2 or experience of working with children in this age group.

Any appointment would be subject to an enhanced DBS and our safe recruitment process.

(The rate of pay will depend on qualifications and experience)

The Highbury Roundhouse works in partnership with Islington Young People's services to provide a place for teenagers to socialize, play games or participate in structured activities.

The Youth Club runs from 3:45pm-5:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6pm-8pm on Wednesday, and 6:30pm-8pm on Friday.
