Labour’s Cllr Carolyn Healy is now Deputy Leader of Telford & Wrekin Council and holds responsibility for Neighbourhoods, Planning & Sustainability.

She is also a director of Red Kite Network Ltd, a company which provides ecological and landscape consultancy services, including work for Telford & Wrekin Council itself.

Council records show £34,445 of transactions with Red Kite in 2025/26. Across the last six financial years, the published figures total more than £165,000.

Let’s be clear: these interests have been declared. We are not suggesting otherwise.

But the real question is whether simply declaring an interest is enough when the company’s work appears so closely related to the councillor’s political portfolio.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬:

What safeguards are in place?
Which relevant decisions has Cllr Healy withdrawn from?
And has the potential overlap between her public responsibilities and commercial interests been independently reviewed?

Public confidence requires more than ticking the declaration box.

Do you think this arrangement passes the common-sense test? We don’t, and we believe she must go. In May we have our local elections, try and keep up with the goings on with this Labour council, there seems to be a lot happening.

Reform UK will stop the boats once and for all. “No smash the gangs” gimmick slogans, or hundreds of million pound give aways to France for nothing in return. And it will be achieved in weeks. Not months or never as we have seen under the Tories and Labour.

who has disabled comments, thinks it is funny to mock the murder of Ann Widdecombe, a lady in her late 70’s who was murdered for being associated with Reform UK.

The comment is on the fake news article about Robert Jenrick within Shropshire Star page.

This kind of behaviour must be ousted by everyone regardless of your political preferences.

For years, working people have been asked to pay more while government spends more.

Higher taxes.
Higher energy bills.
More waste.
More bureaucracy.

That has to change.

Reform UK’s approach is straightforward:

Cut government waste.
Reform welfare.
Cut the cost of Net Zero.
Reduce taxes on working people.

Because the person getting up at 6am, opening the shop, driving the van, running the business or heading out for a shift should be rewarded for working — not treated as an endless source of revenue.
