☆★ 「英国多文化コミュニティ政策交流プログラム」参加者募集！☆★　
クレアロンドン事務所では、昨年度に引き続き英国多文化コミュニティ政策交流プログラムを開催します。このプログラムは、歴史的に様々な背景をもつ数多くの移民を受け入れてきた英国において、グローバルに展開される人の流れにより生み出される活力とそれに伴う課題や、英国での社会統合政策多文化共生政策に基づく地方行政・地域づくりの先進的な取り組みを学びます。現場の視察や関係者との意見交換等を通じて、日本の自治体等における多文化共生施策の企画立案等に寄与することを目的としています。

【期間】令和8年9月21日（月）から9月26日（土）までの６日間
【場所】英国（ロンドンを拠点に、地方の自治体等へ日帰り訪問する可能性もあり）
【費用】
・研修参加費：無料
・旅費（航空賃・交通費等）、宿泊費、食費等：自己負担
※地域国際化協会からの参加者（個人参加を除く）については、地域国際化協会連絡協議会から一部の費用について助成があります。

We were honoured to welcome a distinguished Japanese Government Consultant to Port of Middlesbrough this week.

As part of an international knowledge exchange, we shared insights on the UK’s approach to transport and logistics and explored how our operations at AV Dawson align with global best practices. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from each other and discuss how different countries innovate in logistics and infrastructure.

Collaboration like this strengthens global connections and helps shape the future of efficient, sustainable supply chains.

🌏 Applications Now Open – Japan Study Tour 2026 🇯🇵

📅 Deadline: 30 September 2025

The Japan Local Government Centre (JLGC), London is now inviting applications for the 2026 Japan Study Tour, hosted by Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.

This seven-day programme offers senior staff in local government and public sector organisations across the UK, Republic of Ireland, and Northern Europe the chance to explore how Japanese cities address local challenges through a devolved system of governance.

Participants will take part in:
✅ Site visits and orientation in Tokyo
✅ Seminars and workshops in Sendai
✅ Insights into industry-government-academia collaboration and local tourism strategy

JLGC will cover all in-country costs during the tour, including travel within Japan, accommodation, and meals.
✈️ Participants are responsible for their own return flights to Japan.
📍 An orientation session (online or in-person at JLGC London) will be held in December 2025 (date TBC).

UK/Japan Transition Finance Forum in London on 3rd July 2025

London is hosting more than 700 events for London Climate Action Week. FinCity.Tokyo’s Transition Finance Forum will be a few days after a jam packed week but we are grateful to the organisers, E3G, to let us be part of it. We look forward to catching the great vibes of the week to discuss transition finance so please join us if you are missing the week and would like to stick around for further climate related discussions!

Japan has been a strong advocate and pioneer for transition finance which looks at financing the transition for reducing the carbon footprint of its companies. It is an area where we want to communicate more with our overseas stakeholders and do more together.
