We support parents with children aged 0 to 19 by providing information about childcare, paying for childcare and services for families in the borough. Please note that Hackney FIS do not take any responsibility for the use of any activity we post on this page. It is always the responsibility of the person supervising any activity to ensure the safety of the child or children. Please check the contents of any items you use are non toxic and used with health and safety as a priority.

The Peep Learning Together programme comes to at St Peter’s Crypt on the 16th September. The 6-week programme is totally free and aimed at parents/ carers to attend with their child and hear ways to enhance children's early language skills through everyday activities. Sessions are welcoming and friendly with activities that build on what you are already doing at home.

We are looking for parents and carers to join who have children aged 2-4 years old. Sessions take place on Wednesdays, from 16th September, 11-12pm
Each participant takes home a certificate, a free Home Learning Pack plus a £10 shop voucher at the end of the course. Spaces are limited so we urge you to book asap.

PEEP is back! Starting on the 16th September - St Peter’s Crypt, this free Peep programme aims to help parents/carers enhance children's early language skills through everyday activities. The 6-week sessions are welcoming and friendly with activities that build on what you are already doing at home.

We are looking for parents & carers to join who have children aged 2-4 years old who will benefit from additional language support.

Each participant takes home a certificate, a Home Learning Pack and a £10 high street shop voucher at the end of the course.

We are so sorry to hear of Dolly Parton's passing here at Hackney. Not only a formidable global singer and songwriter, Dolly Parton also established the Dollywood Foundation's Imagination Library project, gifting free books to all children under the age of 5. For Hackney, this project has supported over 3,000 children since the start of the year. Without the support of Dolly's foundation and the partnership with and , children under 5 will have fewer books to share with their grown ups at home.
