The Ghana High Commission, London, in collaboration with Manhyia Palace, hosted the London International Leadership Roundtable of the Asante Business Summit, bringing together investors, business leaders, entrepreneurs and the Ghanaian diaspora to explore investment opportunities in Kumasi and the wider Ashanti Region.

H.E. Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson highlighted opportunities across agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, technology, tourism and the creative economy, while reaffirming the important role of the diaspora in Ghana’s economic growth.

The engagement also announced the Asante Business Summit, scheduled for 19-22 November 2026 at the Jubilee Hall, Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, with stakeholders invited to connect, invest and explore new opportunities.

The London Mission hosted a farewell reception in honour of Mr. Fuad Mohammed Abubakar, outgoing Head of Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company (UK) Ltd, one of Ghana’s parastatal institutions in the United Kingdom, and warmly welcomed his successor, Mr. Kwame Sintim.

H.E. Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson, heads of other Ghanaian parastatals and invited guests shared goodwill messages, commending Mr. Abubakar for his dedicated service and wishing Mr. Sintim every success in his new role.

Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK on 27th August 2026 received Ghanaian student leaders from the University of Bradford at the Mission.

The High Commissioner encouraged the students to uphold Ghanaian values, good conduct and high moral standards, stressing that their actions abroad contribute to shaping Ghana’s image.

Discussions also focused on strengthening collaboration with Ghanaian student groups to promote Ghanaian culture and values. The Mission further indicated that it is exploring partnerships with companies to create internship opportunities for Ghanaian students in the UK.

The student leaders were assured of the Mission’s commitment to engaging them in relevant programmes and activities.
