πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ D-Day 82nd Anniversary πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Today, the Union Flag is flying at the Town Council as we mark the 82nd Anniversary of the D-Day Landings.

On the 6th June 1944, Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy in the largest amphibious invasion in history.

Their courage, sacrifice and determination helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today.

As we remember those who served, those who gave their lives, and those who returned home carrying the memories of that day, we pause to reflect on the debt we owe to that generation.

We will remember them.

Today we were proud to raise the Pride flag outside the Town Council offices in recognition of Pride Month and in support of our LGBTQ+ community.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped mark the occasion. Together we celebrate inclusion, equality, respect, and the diversity that makes our community stronger.
