The CWO provides a focus and support for everyone in the Conservative Party who is committed to the aim and objectives of the CWO: to support more women into public life; supporting their progression through training and mentoring; to encourage women to join the Conservative Party; and to encourage women to participate in policy conversations, campaigning and debating on issues that are of particu
lar relevance to women. We encourage and support women who wish to become involved at all levels of public life or in their local communities: from school governors to public appointments, Cllrs to MPs. The CWO is there to help support all Conservative candidates through CWO Development; both men and women can join our courses. Our members form a countrywide network of people of all ages and backgrounds, working together in a wide range of activities within the voluntary party. It gives a forum for women of all ages, backgrounds and from all parts of the country to meet, discuss issues and work together. The CWO is an affiliated organisation of the Conservative Party. If you a member of the Conservative Party, then you can be member of the Conservative Women’s Organisation, as long as you agree to our aim. We work closely with the Minister for Women and Equalities, as well as with other parts of the Party, especially the mainstream voluntary party and other affiliated groups, such as the Conservative Policy Forum.
