A new study claims half of UK adults spend less than three hours a week outside in nature. Abney Park Trust is here to help you boost your nature fix with our guided walks.

It’s well-documented that spending time in nature significantly benefits physical and mental health. Previous research found regular access to green spaces reduces GP visits by 28% and could save the NHS £2bn a year: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2026/may/25/half-of-uk-adults-say-they-spend-less-than-three-hours-a-week-outside-in-nature

Check out our walks and other opportunities offered under the cooling canopies of the trees of Abney Park Cemetery - starting 5th July.

This film by Elin Moe and Winstan Whitter is an intimate portrait of the unique life of Herschel Gluck, a Rabbi from the Haredi Jewish community in north London.

Rabbi Gluck will be in attendance for a Q&A after the screening.

14th May, 7.30pm, Abney Park Delph room, tickets from £6. Book here: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/abneyparktrust/1828271

Did you know that it’s Abney Park’s 186th birthday this year?

On 3rd May between 11am and 1pm, join Abney Park Trust and the Tower Theatre. Pick up a free map at the High Street entrance.

Members of the Tower Theatre will bring some of the amazing residents to life. Stroll around the cemetery and you might encounter Margaret Graham and hear about her dare devil balloon flights. Or perhaps Isaac Watts might tell you about his life with Lady Abney.
