šŸ‚AĀ little autumn pause forĀ theĀ Farm Shop! šŸŽƒ

We’re taking a little breather this Saturday (24th October), giving our hardworking veg and flower patch a chance to recharge before our final regular Farm Shop of the year on Saturday 31st October – Halloween! šŸ‘»šŸ

It’s been an incredible growing season, and our wonderful volunteers (and the soil!) have certainly earned a bit of a rest.

We’ll be back next Saturday with the last of our seasonal harvest, plenty of autumnal goodies and a chance to stock up on farm-grown produce before we wind down for winter.

And with our Halloween / Samhain celebrations happening later that day, there’s even more reason to pay us a visit! šŸŽƒāœØ

Thank you for all your support. We hope to see lots of you for our final shop of the year!

šŸ‚ Autumn has well and truly arrived! šŸ

We’re down to our final few Saturdays of the growing season, so come and make the most of the farm produce while you still can!

We’ll have beautiful autumn squash and pumpkins, freshly harvested vegetables, homemade preserves, quince treats and the last of our gorgeous farm grown flowers.

There’s something really special about the farm at this time of year, as we gather in the last of the harvest and celebrate all the hard work that’s gone into another growing season.

Every purchase you make helps support our wonderful community farm and the people who make it such a special place. šŸ’š

šŸ‚The countdown toĀ theĀ end ofĀ theĀ farm shop season isĀ on!Ā šŸ‚

Just three more Saturdays until Halloween and our final regular farm shop of the year! We’re making the most of the autumn harvest, and we’ve got loads of lovely seasonal goodies for you to enjoy.

The wait is finally over: our farm-grown quinces are ripe! We’ve been patiently watching them develop all season, and they’re now ready to enjoy. As well as fresh quinces, we have delicious homemade quince jelly and membrillo (quince paste), lovingly prepared by our amazing volunteers!

We’ve also got a fabulous selection of squash and pumpkins, perfect for hearty autumn cooking, alongside plenty of freshly harvested seasonal vegetables.

And of course, there will be beautiful locally grown, seasonal flowers, bringing a last splash of colour as the growing season winds down.

There are only a few weeks left to enjoy the fruits (and veg!) of our labour, so come and pay us a visit this Saturday, stock up on autumnal goodies and help us finish the season on a high!

šŸ‚ TheĀ season isĀ starting toĀ draw toĀ aĀ close atĀ theĀ Horsenden Farm Shop…

There aren’t too many Saturdays left before we begin winding down for winter, but there’s still plenty of lovely farm-grown produce available! šŸ„¬šŸ…šŸŒ¶ļøšŸŽƒ

So come down this Saturday (19th Sept, 10am to 12.30pm), stock up on seasonal veg, flowers and other Horsenden goodies, and make the most of these last weeks of the growing season.

**Please note: there’ll be no Farm Shop next Saturday (26th Sept) due to an event at the farm**, so this weekend is a particularly good time to fill your bags!

šŸOur juicing team have been hard at work! šŸ

We’ve been busy picking, pressing and bottling, which means we have loads of lovely apple juice ready for Apple Day this Saturday!

Come along and see the magic happen with our apple-juicing demonstrations and tasting sessions, or bring the kids along to one of our ā€˜Seed to Juice’ workshops in the Woodpecker Hollow school garden — exploring the journey from apple seed to delicious juice. 🌱Sign up via Horsenden World!🌱

There is one important difference this year: the apples we’ll be pressing aren’t all from the Horsenden orchard.

The extreme heat and drought this season caused much of our fruit to drop early, leaving us with very few apples to harvest. Climate change is real, and orchards like ours are already feeling its effects.

Thankfully, with the help of our lovely partners at The Orchard Project, we were able to source a fantastic crop from a nearby orchard in Mill Hill — so Apple Day can go ahead with plenty of pressing and juice!

While you’re here, look out for our information boards around the juicing station to find out more about how our changing climate is affecting orchards, why these wonderful habitats matter, and what we’re doing at Horsenden to protect and restore ours for the future.

šŸSee you on Apple Day! (11am to 5pm)šŸ
