This is great to hear!! Artin was invaluable in helping organise the Momentum Youth & Students Political School, as the Momentum endorsed left candidate for London Young Labour Chair next year he's the perfect person for the job of reaching out to the organisation's nearly 15,000 inactive members!

As a teacher, I deeply understand the importance of education and the change it can have on people. If elected chair, I will launch a bi-annual program of political education, comprised of one session per week related to all sorts of different subjects - and based off the recent success of the Momentum Youth and Students London Political School that I helped organise this autumn just gone.
The success of these events was twofold. Firstly, both new and more experienced activists learnt about the modern and historical context of our movement. A wide range of speakers freely and enthusiastically gave their time; from economists to trade union organisers, parliamentarians to Young Labour activists, all were received warmly by a large and attentive audience.
Secondly, these events regularly engaged 50 to 60 London Young Labour members, who had previously been totally inactive. We engaged with our membership in a way that we have as yet been unable to in LYL; by placing education and real discussion at the forefront of my campaign, I intend to generalise this success with Momentum and double the active membership of LYL.
In addition to a LYL Political School, by developing better relationships with industrial trade unions we can broaden the educational opportunities available to our members. The trade union movement, its structure, and its struggles, are not a step on the political ladder - they are the lifeblood of our movement.
