Foster Care Link has a unique and dedicated specialist service in finding families for children of varying different backgrounds, ethnicities and languages. As part of this service Foster Care Link is the only agency in the UK which has a dedicated Muslim Fostering Service. We are currently rated as an ‘Outstanding’ agency in every area in our Nov 2014 inspection. We have foster carers in London and the South East, North West and Yorkshire regions. Our foster carers also come from a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds speaking 10 languages. We can therefore often offer the best placement match for children of any ethnic background, who need a foster home. Foster Care Link is an award-winning agency with a proven track record. We have been established since 2002 and have subsequently built a reputation for the quality of our work, which is always centred around the needs of children placed with us. We have so far managed placements for nineteen Local Authorities across England and Wales to achieve positive outcomes for children in care. We have excellent testimonials from the Local Authorities that have used our service, and our greatest asset, our team of dedicated foster carers, have consistently advised us that they feel well supported and cared for as part of our team. Foster Care Link is approved by many consortiums throughout England and Wales including London Care Placements, Placements North West and SCMS Yorkshire & Humber Consortium. A strong and dedicated staff team manages Foster Care Link to ensure it continues to develop and meet the objectives of the organisation.

Foster Care Link is a unique fostering service. Founded in 2004, it provides the ‘Islamic Fostering Service’ to local authorities, matching Muslim foster families with Muslim children in care. It is the only Muslim specialist fostering agency in the UK. Since its launch, the organisation has worked with more than 95 local authorities.

Foster Care Link is pleased to announce that, following a detailed inspection by Ofsted in March this year, it has once again been awarded an Outstanding rating. According to research conducted by the agency, the achievement has been attained by only a handful of independent fostering services in the UK from amongst over 300 independent providers.

Director Ismail Amaan said:

“We are extremely pleased with this result. It is through the dedication and commitment of our amazing foster carers and staff team that we have achieved this accolade.”

Registered Manager Abdurrahman Sayed added:

“It is a privilege to work in a sector where we can support these children, and the continued Ofsted Outstanding rating is particularly meaningful because it confirms that an independent inspection has found us to be operating to the highest standards.”

Co-Director Mohamed Zina also said:

“Achieving an Ofsted Outstanding rating for the fourth consecutive time reflects more than 20 years of experience in the sector and a continuous commitment to learning and improvement."

Since commencing operations in 2004, Foster Care Link has built a strong reputation within the social care sector as a quality provider. The agency has previously been featured in BBC news coverage and other media outlets to highlight the needs of Muslim children in care.

There remains a significant shortage of Muslim foster carers, and Foster Care Link is always looking for more carers to join its team. We cover many areas across England. For more information, please visit www.islamicfostering.com.

This video was filmed after last year's carers' lunch, about a young boy who has since left our agency and grown into a wonderful young man.

If you've ever thought about becoming a foster carer, this could be your sign. The journey isn't always easy, but the impact you can have lasts a lifetime.

At our Carers' Lunch in London last week, Ismail Amaan, co-founder and director of Foster Care Link, delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on everything we've achieved over the past two decades, and reminding us why the work we do matters so much.

Every child deserves a safe, loving home where they feel understood. By becoming a Muslim foster carer, you can help us ensure Muslim children are placed with families who can support their faith, culture and wellbeing.

If you're ready to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you. And if fostering isn't right for you, please consider sharing this post with someone who may be able to help.

JazakAllah khair.

As the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah draw to a close, many of us are reflecting on how we can continue earning reward and making a difference in the lives of others.

At Foster Care Link, we are currently facing a shortage of foster carers, and there are Muslim children in need of safe, loving homes. Opening your heart and home to a child can have a lasting impact that extends far beyond these blessed days.

If you've ever considered fostering, there is no better time to take that first step. Your care, compassion, and support could change a child's life forever.
