Supported by National Lottery Good Causes Funding from Sport England and delivered by Youth Sport Trust, the School Games National Finals bring together young people from across the nation to compete across different sports and creates an inspirational and developmental environment for aspiring athletes.

To ensure opportunities like this are not missed out on based on affluence, Sport England has linked up with the Youth Sport Trust and Greenhouse Sports to launch Elevate, which aims to identify and develop 45 talented young people in sport, prioritising high potential over privilege.

Elevate is bringing 45 young people aged 13-16 to the School Games National Finals 2026 for a unique identification and development initiative.

The Government issued a Call for Evidence on the future of National Lottery Good Causes funding is still open and is encouraging people across the sport and physical activity sector to share their views.

The Call for Evidence looks to gather opinions on how National Lottery funding can continue to deliver the greatest possible benefit for communities, including:
➡️ How funding reaches good causes
➡️ How funding empowers local communities
➡️ How funding is made easier to access.

Whether you're a volunteer, coach, club leader, participant, partner organisation or someone whose life has been impacted by National Lottery funding, we are encouraging you to have your say.

Creating an inclusive environment where everyone’s needs are recognised and supported takes time. It’s about starting small... being proactive, staying open, and continuing to learn.

Sport England national partnerships lead talks about Active Talking Trailblazers, a new programme, developed with NHS Talking Therapies to help people's wellbeing through physical activity.

With the help of the National Lottery Good Causes, Sport England funds projects and organisations that help more people get active and make sport and physical activity available to everyone.

Fields Farm Nature Play Therapy is one of the organisations that has received funding to support the delivery of inclusive family fitness and yoga sessions in rural Lincolnshire.

The funding has allowed Fields Farm to remove many of the financial barriers that prevent people from taking part, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of movement in a beautiful outdoor setting.

32 acres of unloved greenspace was transformed in one of the UK's most deprived areas into a thriving community hub that tackles health inequalities while boosting biodiversity.

Located in Southend-on-Sea's St Luke's ward, which sits within the top 5% of most deprived areas in the UK, Garon Park prove that community-led environmental action can deliver powerful results for both people and planet.
