The MenB vaccine is available for free this summer, to protect eligible young people against meningitis and sepsis.

Two doses of MenB are needed, 28 days apart. You can book your first vaccine FREE at your local pharmacy if you:

• Were born between 01/09/2007 and 31/08/2008
• Are under 25 (born on or after 21/07/2001) and starting higher education for the first time, or starting further education for the first time as a residential student, in autumn 2026.

Book your first vaccine as soon as possible so that you have time to have your second dose, and are fully protected for the autumn term.

Find out what Camden’s secondary schools have to offer your child by visiting their open events this autumn. All 10 of Camden’s state secondary schools hold open events for parents and carers in September and October.

Your child will be due to start secondary school in September 2027 if they were born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016. The deadline to apply for a Year 7 place is 31 October 2026.

If you’re pregnant, you can now book a free flu vaccine at your GP, pharmacy or maternity service.

You can also get the RSV and whooping cough vaccines for free during pregnancy. Speak to your GP or maternity team for more information.

It’s important to get the flu vaccine as soon as possible, to help pass protection on to your baby. You are eligible at any stage of your pregnancy.
